Lockport Mold Damage Escalated Quickly

After a boiler malfunction in this Lockport basement recreation room, the mold damage spread rapidly across the walls and ceiling. SERVPRO technicians removed the ping pong table, couch, and area rug as they were contaminated with mold. The techs inspected the articles removed for potential restoration through techniques such as immersion cleaning, however porous items required disposal. The techs confirmed the presence of a larger mold infestation behind the sheetrock and the walls needed to get stripped down to the studs to open them up for drying, disinfection, and the application of antimicrobial cleaners and a sealant. Fortunately, for the homeowner, the tile flooring did not have any mold issues underneath and required only surface cleaning.
