Standing Water in Niagara Falls Basement After Storm Damage
Basements in Niagara Falls can take on water damage rapidly and unlike other areas of a home, the water generally has nowhere to go if the storm drains are at capacity or the sump pump fails. As the Before Photo shows, SERVPRO technicians arrived to find nearly an inch of standing water on the tile floor and a very full basement filled with items the homeowner stored there. The techs were able to extract the water rapidly enough that the tile did not delaminate and remained intact. Then they set up drying equipment and left the majority of the items in their original positions to keep the disruptions to the space at a minimum.
