Buffalo Home Has Wood Floor with Water Damage
SERVPRO arrived at this Buffalo home to cleanup water damage and found a good deal of water on the wood floorboards. The techs used their equipment to determine that seepage occurred under the flooring and removed the floorboards to dry the subfloor underneath. Fortunately no migration behind the baseboards or wicking into the sheetrock on the walls occurred. The drying phase required multiple air movers placed closely together along with an industrial dehumidification unit. Often for this type of cleanup, drying mats assist with the removal of moisture in flooring. Afterward, the subfloor got inspected to ensure it did not warp from the exposure to a large amount of water.
