The flu is at an all time high. Every year hundreds of productivity hours are lost due to the flu. In extreme cases hospitalization and fatalities occur. Below are a few tips from your local SERVPRO on staying healthy during the winter season.
KEEP THE FLU AWAY
- Get an annual flu vaccine
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
- Disinfect door knobs/ handles, light switches, keyboards.
- If you are sick- Stay home and rest -Limit your contact with others
