Halloween Wind Storm

Strong winds came whistling through WNY late Halloween night. Winds were soaring 45-60mph, with gusts up to 70mph. Many homes in the WNY area were reported to be with out power. National Grid estimated approximately 5800 without power this morning. Many trees and power lines were down on the sidewalk and roads. In result, many schools were cancelled or delayed. Alongside with the wind, torrential rains had fallen for the past two days. This caused flooding issues also.
